Admissions Counselor, Buffalo City Schools

Medaille University seeks applications for an Admissions Counselor. Reporting to the Director of Admissions (or Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions pending assignment), the Admissions Counselor is a representative of Medaille University responsible for recruiting, advising and enrolling students for Medaille University’s traditional undergraduate programs.

Operating from Medaille’s Buffalo campus, the Admissions Counselor will work collaboratively with other admission staff members to generate interest and qualified leads for Medaille’s traditional undergraduate programs. The successful candidate will recruit and enroll for all Medaille Universities traditional undergraduate programs, most specifically for Buffalo City Schools and our “Say Yes” Education program. The Admissions Counselor will work diligently in a team oriented, performance-based environment to provide exceptional student services and meet enrollment goals while embracing the mission and values of Medaille University. Will act as a liaison for special programs such as HEOP, etc. for the admissions team. The candidate will utilize best practices in recruitment and admissions while providing excellent customer service and follow-up. Other duties as assigned.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education and a minimum of two years experience in college admissions, enrollment services and/or sales. A master’s degree is highly desirable. Must have excellent interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Candidates also must be able to do some travel and work some evenings and weekends.
