Position Summary:
To oversee the daily operations of the assigned NYS OCFS licensed Just for Kids Before & After School location. To oversee the implementation of preplanned activities and create supplemental appropriate and engaging activities as needed for participants in a safe, supervised, structured environment, in alignment with OCFS regulations.

Responsibilities Include:
1. Program Development
a. Oversee the implementation of age-appropriate daily activities; model appropriate activities to staff as needed.
b. Oversee the general housekeeping of all program areas including program spaces and storage areas.
c. Schedule spaces for groups of children based on size and activity.
d. Maintain ratios depending on licensed capacity.
e. Provide support and assistance to enrichment curriculum related tasks.
f. Assist in marketing efforts while at site to promote the Just for Kids program and to make continued efforts to grow and develop the program within the school and in the community.

2. Staff Management
a. Ensure staff provide direct competent supervision of children and staff at all times.
b. Create and disseminate regular staff communication to include the upcoming week’s activities, schedule changes, special guests, etc.
c. Ensure a positive work environment for staff.
d. Responsible for approving staff time sheets and conducting staff performance evaluation.
3. Recordkeeping
a. Uphold confidentiality of information with regard to children and families, other staff, District operations, and the Just for Kids program at large.
b. Daily communication with participating families, staff and school personnel.
c. Maintain accurate record keeping (i.e. attendance records, injury reports, etc.)
•Supervise accurate record keeping procedures by staff.
•Follow protocol for the documentation of injuries, illness and the administration of medication.
•Ensure the completion of all state and federal required documentation.
d. Ensure accurate record keeping by parents.
4. Training
a. Obtain 15 hours within the first six months and 30 hours every two years.
b. Actively participate in Manager meetings.
c. Plan and Facilitate minimum quarterly staff meetings.
d. Maintain current CPR and First Aid Certifications.
5. Any other duties specified by the Director of Just for Kids School Age Programs

Experience and Education: 2 years of experience working in childcare and 1-year supervisory experience. 18 credits of education related course. Bachelor's degree; major in Childhood Education is preferred. Must hold current CPR and First Aid certifications.

Requirements:
• Before employees are eligible to start working, they must be cleared through NYS OCFS. This includes the completion of several background checks, medical clearance, and fingerprinting.
• Regular and predictable attendance
