Provide and present evidence-based prevention curricula to youth and community as part of an overall strategy that addresses alcohol related issues, among other at-risk subjects. Key roles include outreach, recruitment, and engagement of participants. Must be comfortable speaking in front of an audience.
Full Time (40 hours) / Hourly / Non-exempt / Rate: $15.50 hourly

DUTIES / TASKS (not necessarily all inclusive)
• Plan, coordinate, and present comfortably and accurately prevention presentations to both youth and adults
• Perform effectively within a classroom setting and through video conferencing platforms
• Ability to engage a school-age audience
• Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based, medically accurate, age and stage appropriate education workshops/sessions
• Connect participants with proper services; Develop referral resources and linkages
• Collaborate w/ local community resources; Participate w/ outreach
• Accurately collect and report data; Complete any reports and paperwork on time
• Maintain confidential and sensitive information; Maintain accurate records
• Work independently and meet timelines; Operate in a multi-tasking environment; Ability to rationally prioritize
• Maintain confidential and sensitive information; Maintain accurate records; Ability to set goals and meet deadlines
• Set a positive example for other staff; Effectively communicate in both oral and written form
• Abide by the policies established by the Agency

• Bachelor’s health or human services /related; NYS teaching certification +; Two (2) years exp w/ at-risk youth +
• Competency in issues regarding alcohol/substance abuse, family planning, and reproductive health
• Must start with and maintain a clear criminal background and driving record; Pass all background & pre-hire requirements
• Intermediate computer skills; Able to use MS Office, including Outlook with ease
• Be able to work remotely and in-person / No barriers to commuting; Able to transmit and receive electronic documents
• Must have own, reliable vehicle carrying and maintaining a minimum of 100/300 auto liability coverage
• Have valid NYS driver license
• Ability to lift at least 30lbs; Able to perform in a smoke-free environment
• Interpersonal skills to work cooperatively and effectively with individuals, groups, staff, and a diverse population
• Familiarity with the local Native American community
