Medaille College is accepting applications for a First Year Experience and Instruction Librarian. This position develops, maintains and executes the library’s first year experience programs; collaborates with faculty and staff leading the first-year experience programs; collaborates with the Academic Success Center; designs and implements assessment of instruction and outreach programs. Provides statistical data and assessment relative to duties and responsibilities. Maintains affiliations on and participates in professional library committees and associations. Responsible for keeping current with emerging trends that are specific to job duties. Participates in College activities and committees. This position is a member of the full-time faculty and reports to the Library Director.
The successful candidate must have an M.L.S. from an ALA-accredited institution, 3-5 years of experience in an academic library setting, must demonstrate the ability to teach information literacy, as well as teach students from diverse backgrounds with varying levels of proficiency.
