Cleaner in Geneseo, NY

The Summer Cleaner position in Facilities Services is a 12-week position, 40 hours/week (Monday – Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm) that supplements our workforce, enabling us to complete residential hall cleaning that is required during summer months.

Responsibilities may include:
-Removing trash and recycling to central areas
-Cleaning/disinfecting all horizontal surfaces, phones, doorknobs, and light switches
-Cleaning/disinfecting fixtures, toilets, sinks, showers, tubs, dispensers and mirrors
-Dusting high and low surfaces
-Mopping floors
-Sweeping/vacuuming floors
-Washing walls
-Filling dispensers

Mnimum Qualifications:
There are no education or experience requirements for this class. Cleaners must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and understand and carry out written and oral instructions.

Applicants must be at least 17 years old. If under 18, must have appropriate working papers. (High school students will not work the full 12 weeks, they may start in June when school lets out)
