MEDICAL BILLING SPECIALIST
Maxim Management Services, LLC is a Medical Service Organization (MSO) whose mission is to provide medical administrative services. Maxim customizes its services to meet the special needs of any medical practice, from general consulting services to complete outsourcing of internal operations. The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for reviewing inappropriately processed medical claims and advocating to insurance companies and payers to guarantee appropriate payment. It is a position that is critical for the financial cycle of all health care providers, from single-provider practices through large medical centers. The medical billing position requires attention to detail and experience with electronic and paper systems used in billing healthcare services. Pay Range: $23-27 per hour
Responsibilities Include:
• Corrects, edits and manages denied claims due to invalid CPT codes, invalid Dx codes, missing Modifiers, bill incorrect insurance carrier, invalid eligibility, authorization/referral, documentation required or other open tasks requiring attention
• Audits, generates, and uploads insurance claims and submits claim by paper as appropriate
• Reviews and makes corrections to rejected claims and resubmits claims to payers
• Handles internal communications with the health centers related to insurance billing and collections
• Coordinates with the Network Administrator II to ensure accurate billing information is submitted; works with Billing Manager to maximize revenue potential based on our unique services and providers
• Maintains confidentiality of all department, patient, and billing matters
Qualifications:
We are looking for qualified candidates with at least 2 years experience working with professional based medical claims. Experience with Medent is preferred. Being a multi-tasking individual with computer skills is absolutely necessary.
