Summary
Assist clients in developing, implementing, and monitoring an employment plan that leads to self‐sufficiency. Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, industry representatives, and training agencies that lead to client job placement. Coordinate, design, and implement outreach activities. In collaboration with the Economic Empowerment Coordinator, develop action plan(s) to recruit and retain participants and employers into the Program.
DUTIES / TASKS
CASE MANAGEMENT
• Review clients’ readiness and eligibility for employment
• Assist clients in determining vocational interests, abilities, and skills
• Coordinate referrals to other appropriate services
• Provide support services and networks for clients committed to employment
• Manage and maintain required files per regulations
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND RETENTION
• Initiate and maintain ongoing contacts with local businesses, industry representatives, and job placement/training agencies to promote activities that lead to client placement
• Develop on-the-job training and work experience sites to address business workforce needs
• Match clients’ job skills with workforce needs
• Assist and support clients during job search activities
• Furnish clients with job leads
• Develop and administer employment workshops; Promote self-sufficiency of clients
• Plan and implement job fairs
• Accurately collect and report data

GENERAL EMPLOYMENT DUTIES / TASKS

• Work independently and meet timelines; Operate in a multi-tasking environment; Able to rationally prioritize
• Maintain confidential and sensitive information; Maintain accurate records
• Set a positive example for other staff; Effectively communicate in both oral and written form

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS
• MINIMUM Bachelor’s human service, business, or related w/ 3 years associated experience
• Must be able to work remotely and in-person
• Experience with a variety of social media & video conferencing platforms
• Must be able to acceptably pass all background checks and pre-hire requirements; Must have valid NYS driver license
• Intermediate computer skills; Able to use MS Office, including Outlook with ease
• Interpersonal skills to work cooperatively and effectively with individuals, groups, and a diverse population
• Familiarity with local Native American community
• Must carry minimum auto liability coverage of 100/300k; Must start with and maintain acceptable driving record; Must be able to lift minimum
of 30 lbs.; Must be able to perform in a smoke-free environment
