Salary Range: $28.47 - $42.71 per hour
J.B. Hunt is hiring tractor trailer mechanics to join our team of exceptional technicians!As a Senior Mobile Technician, you will be responsible for performing complex maintenance, service and repair of J.B. Hunt trailers, containers, chassis and power equipment at a customer site or rail yard using a mobile service truck. This is NOT a roadside service position. Technicians must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose and complete all fleet maintenance processes while checking that units meet J. B. Hunt's specifications.
The expected hourly range on this position is: $28.47-$42.71 an hour.

Senior Mobile Technician Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex diagnostics, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, tire replacements/flat repairs, brake repairs, electrical diagnostics and basic structural repairs on tractor and trailer equipment
- Oversee recall campaigns and sign off on completion
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair ABS system and specialized equipment including refrigerated units, lift gates and frame alignment
- Follow all safety requirements while at a customer or rail yard
- Professionally operate assigned service truck and according to company requirements; properly attend to service truck parts inventory
- Accurately complete work orders and other written materials according to established procedures
- Properly document damage to company equipment to estimate the cost of repairs
- Demonstrate proficient use of a cutting torch and welding equipment to perform mid-level repairs on chassis, frames and other equipment
- Patch holes in trailer/container side panels and roofs ensuring all holes are sealed and water-tight
- Perform annual AA Trailer and FHWA Brake Inspections sign-off
Minimum Qualifications:
- 18 years of age for equipment up to 10,000 lbs or 21 years of age for equipment over 10,000 lbs with 3 years of experience in semi-tractor or semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and/or military equivalent experience
- DOT-certified in FHWA inspections and air brakes
- Possess a clean motor vehicle record per J.B. Hunt guidelines
- Able to supply your own basic tools or purchase through our toolbox purchase program
- Willingness to work outdoors in the elements
- Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends, if needed
