Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
Due to rapid growth, Family Choice is seeking to fill multiple positions. The primary role of the Staff Development Educator is to provide training and development to clinical and non-clinical staff, develop educational programs, become the subject matter expert (SME) for our electronic medical records (EMR) and to promote the organization’s competency requirements for providing of quality care to our members.ABILITIES:

• Knowledge/judgment to independently access staff needs and develop processes and training to support the program’s requirements
• Requires outstanding people and communication skills. Must be able to build and maintain collaborative, cooperative, productive relationships with all internal customers including members and their families, nursing facility staff, physicians, the health plan and any other stake holders in the community
TASKS:
• Apply independent judgment and critical thinking skills to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive education and training programs that inspire a motivated and skilled workforce.
• Responsible for developing and updating orientation /onboarding materials for all roles within Family Choice; ensuring orientation process is being followed consistently throughout the 90-day period.
• Responsible for ensuring recurring meetings are held with HR, Manager(s), and new hire to monitor ongoing progress.
• Conduct staff education and provide teaching to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of FCNY staff in the delivery of their duties.
• Become an SME of EMR to facilitate end user experience and communicate effectively with vendors.
• Ensure education and training methodologies and course content meet mandated federal and state annual training requirements.
• Ensure education and training records are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
• Maintain Educational Library and Educational Program network drive folders.
• Participate in the organization-wide education and training.
• Evaluate and assist with planning departmental and overall education and training offerings based on identified needs.
• Build effective programs for varying levels and backgrounds.
• Responsible for researching and dealing with sentinel events and designing courses to correct and prevent them.
• Develop and administer general competency courses, as well as ones specialized for specific areas.
• Assist management as called upon in design of development plans for staff.
• Develop and maintain an organizational training calendar.
• Assists staff in understanding the company’s mission and core values.
• Oversee and responsible for coordinating annual training.
• Identify training and educational opportunities that will improve FCNY capabilities in meeting member needs.
• Participate in the design and delivery of new and existing staff orientation for all staff.
• Review and draft revisions to policy and procedures as needed.
• Recruit staff and outside consultants to provide in house courses and/or training of relevance.
• Collaborate with managers/supervisors/directors on goal setting process to determine appropriate individual training.
• Assist in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Experience: Clinical Educator: 5 years (Required)
Education: Masters of Public Health or Health Education required with RN license or Advanced Practice RN degree with Health Education experience preferred
License/Certification: Driver's License (Required)
