Salary Range: $63,000-$73,000 based on experience.

The Staff Accountant position offers a fantastic opportunity to be a critical member of our Finance department, playing a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial records.

In this role, you'll gain expertise in vital areas like accounts payable, cash disbursements, bank reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
You'll also contribute to important financial tasks such as sales and use tax filings, sales commission calculations, and sustainability reporting.

As a Staff Accountant, you'll have the chance to learn other facets of our finance department, expanding your skillset beyond your core responsibilities.

Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant serves as critical member the Finance department and ensures the department creates accurate and timely financial records for the organization. This role will concentrate on accounts payable transactions and related journal entries and tax filings.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Manages Accounts Payable including related inventory transactions.
• Responsible for cash disbursements.
• Reconciles bank statements.
• Participates in Month-End Close.
• Prepare Accruals.
• Review invoices and tracking of car lease payments.
• Follows Bill 198 Internal Control Finance Standards.
• Maintain vendor records.
• Manage billing, credit, and rebills.
• Prepare sales commissions and rebates
• Sustainability reporting for Corporate.
• Sales and Use Tax for States and Corporate tax reporting.
• Maintains work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Assist in Physical Inventory and Fixed Asset Counts.
• Backup AR.
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instruction.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits.
• Ad hoc projects as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and month end schedule.
• Willingness in working in a team.
• Intermediate Excel and Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.

Required Education and Experience:
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent proficiency.
• Experience with ERP software.

Preferred Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least three years general accounting experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• QAD system experience.

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Starting salary range: $63,000 - 73,000, actual compensation will be based on experience.
