Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES has District Wide Openings for the following positions for the 2026-2027 school year:

Certified Special Education Teachers
Franklinville CSD, Pioneer CSD - Yorkshire, New York, RISE Academy (Boardmanville) Olean, NY, Cuba-Rushford CSD, New York, Friendship CSD, New York, CTE Center at Belmont, New York, Wellsville CSD

- Develop an effective instructional program to accommodate individual needs and varying disabilities using a continuum of service delivery models.
- Facilitate the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and reflective development of children.
- Serve as special education case manager for students as assigned.
- Plan and implement, in collaboration with the Special Education Director, or other special educators, lead teachers, and parents/guardians, individual education plans (IEP's) for children with varying disabilities that are consistent with developmentally appropriate educational practices, local procedure guidance, State and Federal IDEA regulations, the New York State Department of Education Learning Standards, and the Friendship Central School mission and philosophy.
- Document the IEP including measurable goals and objectives as required under IDEA regulations.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, special educators, families, community members and administrators to implement each student's IEP.
- Use ongoing assessment to monitor children's growth, development, strengths, and needs.
- Be accountable for fostering students' academic progress.
- Develop long-term relationships with children and their families by serving as the primary mentor for each child in their group.
- Attend IEP meetings as required.
- Formally and informally interact with parents on a frequent and regular basis to provide information on their child's progress and to provide support as needed.

Salary:
Starting at $45,600 as per the UBTA salary schedule/Contract

Qualifications:
New York State Special education certification required (other certifications may be considered).
