Mental Health Counselor/ School Counselor – Head Start Program
Location: Buffalo, NY area (Head Start & preschool sites)
Schedule: Full-time or part-time | Flexible hours | Supervision provided for LMHC-P

About the Role:
Join CPH’s Early Childhood Behavioral Health Program, partnering with Head Start and preschool programs to provide early intervention and classroom-based mental health support for children ages 3–5.
This unique role bridges mental health counseling and school-based support, offering classroom observations, brief interventions, and collaborative consultations with teachers and families.

Responsibilities
• Conduct behavioral observations and developmental screenings
• Provide consultation and support to teachers and parents
• Implement play-based, trauma-informed strategies in classroom settings
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (teachers, OTs, SLPs, and administrators)
• Participate in reflective supervision and ongoing professional development

Qualifications
• LMHC or LMHC-P in New York State (supervision provided)
• Experience or interest in early childhood, school counseling, or behavioral health
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for supporting young children and educators
