Retail Manager in East Amherst, NY

Salary Range: $18-$24/hr. based on experience

Watson’s Chocolates is an 80-year-old chocolate confectionery manufacturer and retailer based in WNY. Most famous for our Sponge Candy, we have 8 retail locations and a very robust website.
This location on Transit Road in East Amherst is one of our busiest stores and ideally our store manager should be filled with enthusiasm - not only for the retail environment but for chocolate!
We are known for our customer service as well as our high-quality products, and we are seeking an individual to match that in every way.
Creativity and leadership skills are a must to lead our amazing team of staff at Watson’s in East Amherst.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create an exceptional retail experience
• Lead and direct the business activities of the storefront
• Serve as a voice and the face of Watson’s in the neighborhood
• Manage inventory and all monetary transactions
• Ensure quality by proper training of all store employees
• Attend seasonal meetings at HQ in Tonawanda
• Conduct staff meetings with personnel on a regular basis
• Maintain store appearance and cleanliness
• Educate customers on products and company history
• Help with social media
• Maintain high quality and consistent product standards
• Maintain familiarity with product and quality standards
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Applicant should have previous retail experience
• History in a leadership role
• Passion for high quality products and customer service
• Perform repetitive motion with the hands, wrists and forearms to pack candy and manage storage
• Carry weight, lift – lift up to 5 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally
• $18-$24/hr. based on experience
