Salary Range: $34.00-$36.60/hr. dependent upon qualifications
Orleans/Niagara BOCES is seeking a Phlebotomist Instructor to teach aspiring phlebotomists.Candidates must have 3 years of practical experience or teaching in phlebotomy along with a high school diploma and current Phlebotomy Technician Certification or be a Licensed Registered Nurse with Phlebotomy experience.
This part-time role involves both classroom and hands-on instruction, with emphasis on maintaining a positive learning environment.
This position requires strong leadership, organization, and adherence to educational and regulatory standards
• High School, GED, or equivalency completion; AND
• 3 years of practical experience in Phlebotomy, or three years of acceptable teaching experience in Phlebotomy, or three years of acceptable administrative or supervisory experience, or a combination of such acceptable experience amounting to at least three years, or a licensed RN with phlebotomy experience.
• Current Phlebotomy Certification if not a licensed registered nurse
• Relevant occupational work experience in phlebotomy
• Strong communication and instructional skills
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Proficiency with technology including operation of computers
• Professional demeanor and effective classroom management skills
• We are seeking a knowledgeable, dependable, and student-focused Phlebotomy Instructor to provide comprehensive instruction in the art and science of phlebotomy
• This role is responsible for preparing aspiring phlebotomists with the knowledge, technical skills, and professionalism required to succeed in the healthcare field
• The ideal candidate will cultivate a positive, structured, and safe learning environment while delivering high-quality lecture and hands-on clinical instruction
• Conduct comprehensive instruction in phlebotomy, including lecture and clinical drawing sessions
• Deliver curriculum content clearly and effectively to ensure student understanding and competence
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment
• Supervise students during clinical practice to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Organize and manage clinical rotation schedule
• Encourage and support students throughout the program to promote successful completion
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
• Manage onsite inventory and supplies
• Complete required classroom documentation in accordance with company policies
• Maintain productive attendance and timeliness for all scheduled classes
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Ability to work with, and teach a diverse student population
• Ability to speak in front of groups of people
• Must be able to effectively communicate with students, co-workers, supervisors and the campus community
• Must be able to develop, prepare and present information
• Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position
Requirements:
