Salary Range: $75,000- $85,000
The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the parts department, ensuring efficient operations, inventory accuracy, exceptional customer service, and departmental profitability. This role leads the parts team, manages inventory and vendor relationships, and supports the overall success of the dealership.Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Inventory Management
• Manage daily parts department operations, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels, including cycle counts, physical inventory, returns, warranties, and core management.
• Implement inventory control programs and monitor shrinkage.
• Ensure parts are properly received, stocked, and organized in a clean and safe environment.
• Monitor pricing strategies and maintain competitive pricing structures.
Customer Service & Sales
• Support internal and external customers with timely and accurate parts solutions.
• Promote parts sales through merchandising, special programs, and marketing initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to grow aftermarket, trailer, and related product sales.
• Build and maintain strong vendor and customer relationships.
Leadership & Team Management
• Supervise, schedule, train, and develop parts department staff.
• Conduct performance reviews and support employee growth and development.
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for open positions.
• Lead regular team meetings and ensure compliance with company policies and OEM standards.
Process Improvement
• Analyze department performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Utilize dealership systems and reporting tools to monitor operations and drive results.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous parts management, inventory management, or dealership experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Experience with inventory control and dealership management systems preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift parts throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 120 pounds.
• Comfortable working in warehouse, shop, and dealership environments.
Schedule
• Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Every other Saturday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
