Maintenance Mechanic Crew Chief
Effective Date: on or about July 16, 2026
Hours: 6:30am - 3:00pm
Salary: $48,880 - $65,000/year, plus overtime pay *** Salary commensurate with experience.***

JOB GOAL: The work involves responsibility for the efficient operation and upkeep of school mechanical and electrical equipment. The incumbent is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all facilities and equipment. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Director of Facilities, allowing considerable leeway for the exercise of independent judgement in the performance of duties. Direct supervision is exercised over a staff of skilled and unskilled employees. Does related work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma;
• Eight (8) to ten (10) years experience in the building or service trades, at least one (1) year of which was in a supervisory capacity;
• Thorough knowledge of the practices, procedures, tools, terminology and safety procedures of all the skilled building and maintenance trades;
• Ability to read and interpret plans, blue prints and specifications;
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
