Salary Range: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Sotek Inc. is a manufacturer of components and assemblies used in large electrical motors and generators.

Job Summary:

Performs simple and complex machining operations in accordance with job specifications and customer requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set-Up and operate machine shop equipment up to & including CNC and conventional machines
• Interpret written job instructions
• Adhere to job quality standards as outlined in the quality manual
• Determine machine settings and processes to meet customer specifications
• Set-up machines to carry out job projects
• Carry out all other duties as directed by manager

Job Requirements

• Ability to read and write technical instructions and forms
• Familiar with all machine shop processes
• Ability to read and interpret scales, micrometers, and calibrations
• Strong math skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Manual dexterity to manipulate parts of various shapes and sizes
• Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.

Minimum Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent
• Experience operating machinery in a machine shop
• Training in metal working is preferred
• Funuc/Mazak Programming a plus!
