Machinist I in Depew, NY

Salary Range: $18.32 To $25.20 Hourly

We are currently hiring for:
• Machinist I
You will work from drawings and/or written instructions to operate manual or CNC machinery and equipment to produce precision parts under direct supervision.

Additional Duties:
-General knowledge of at least one work center and performs machinist functions at an entry level.
-Verifies conformance of finished work to ensure compliance to tolerance and company specifications.
-Ability to identify dull or worn inserts or tools.
-Makes tool offsets under supervision.
-Aware of required preventative maintenance.
-Learn to perform in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments.
-Performs other related duties as directed.

Minimum Qualifications:
-Basic Shop math skills
-Basic blueprint reading skills
-Basic mechanical ability
-General Knowledge of CNC/ Manual machines

Preferred Qualifications:
-Machine shop experience
-Demonstrated problem solving skills
-Demonstrated experience in order of operations
-Ability to apply concepts of trigonometry
-Inspection measuring equipment exposure and/or knowledge

Salary Range:
$18.32 To $25.20 Hourly
