HVAC & Refrigeration Instructor in Sanborn, NY

Salary Range: $54,000-$92,000 commensurate with experience

The successful candidate will provide full-day instruction to junior and senior high school students in the Building Maintenance and Management (BMM) program at NCTEC in Sanborn, NY.
Over the next 2 years, it is anticipated that this program will be transitioned to an HVAC program at Orleans Career and Technical Education Center in Medina, New York.
Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and delivering instruction on mechanical systems within the BMM and HVAC curriculums. Topics include:

• Residential heating and cooling
• Commercial and domestic refrigeration fundamentals
• Air distribution systems
• Electricity and control circuits
• Gas and oil burners
• Refrigerant management and recycling
• Boilers, transformers, and motors
• Installation and servicing of gas, oil, electric, and hydronic heating systems
• Residential and light commercial air conditioning
• Humidification and dehumidification
• Servicing refrigerators and freezers
• HVAC system design, heat loss, and heat gain

Candidates must have experience with wireless/Wi-Fi controls, residential and commercial service, and hold EPA Section 608 certification. Teaching Math, Science, and English are also required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in HVAC sales and business operations are preferred.
Applicants must hold or be eligible for New York State teacher certification.

Location and Schedule:

2025–2026: Niagara Career and Technical Education Center (Sanborn, NY) – teaching BMM mechanical systems to juniors and seniors.
Anticipated in 2026–2027: AM at Niagara Career and Technical Education Center (Sanborn, NY) – seniors (BMM curriculum); PM at Orleans Career and Technical Education Center (Medina, NY) – juniors (HVAC curriculum).
Anticipated in 2027–2028 and beyond: Orleans Career and Technical Education Center (Medina, NY) – HVAC curriculum for juniors and seniors.

Anticipated Salary: $54,000-$92,000 commensurate with experience
