Horticultural Maintenance Worker in Buffalo , NY

Salary Range: $15.50 – $17.00

The horticultural maintenance worker – seasonal is an entry level seasonal position. This position requires basic horticulture and plant knowledge; a love for the outdoors and making a difference in the community. This position is part of the operations department and reports directly to the systemwide gardens manager or the circles & beds supervisor.

This is a full-time seasonal position; working 37.5 hours per week with non-exempt status according to the Fair Labor Standards Act. Overtime hours may be required at certain times, with supervisor’s approval.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Weeding, pruning, and watering;
-Planting and mulching;
-Raking, shoveling, and sweeping;
-Performs daily maintenance of tools and equipment utilized;
