Food Service Associate

To make available attractive, nutritious and palatable meals in an efficient, pleasant and clean environment while maintaining federal, state and district guidelines. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Registered dietitian. The employee also interacts with and takes direction from the day center manager and program Director. The employee is expected to respect the right to privacy and security of PHI (Protected Health Information) and EPHI (Electronic Protected Health Information). Positive and effective interpersonal/communication skills are required.
$20 per hour

Primary Job Responsibilities
- Assists in the preparation, service and cleanup of meals using district menus, standardized recipes, designated portion sizes and following district menus sanitation procedures
- Follows work schedules and plans and organizes duties prior to beginning tasks
- Stores, utilizes and disposes of food and supplies following federal, state, local and district regulations
- Follows sanitation and safety standards in clean up and operation of the kitchen and kitchen equipment.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

License/Certifications:
- Certified in SERVE SAFE preferred.

Experience:
- 6 months to 1 year of food service experience
- Knowledge of food service line set-up and temperature requirements.
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
- Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards.
