Diesel Mechanic

Job description:
This position involves maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy machinery, including snow groomers, tractors, trucks, and other equipment essential to our resort operations.

Responsibilities:
Skills required, but not limited to:
● Perform routine maintenance and repairs on snow groomers, tractors, trucks, and other heavy machinery.
● Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
● Conduct safety inspections to ensure all equipment meets operational and safety standards.
● Replace or repair defective parts using appropriate tools and equipment.
● Collaborate with the operations team to ensure equipment is ready for daily use.
● Maintain accurate service and repair records.
● Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures during maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:
● Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or similar role.
● Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
● Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
● Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools.
● Must be physically able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
● Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as needed.
