Custodian 2nd Shift in Buffalo, NY

Salary Range: $16.50 - $18.00/Hour

Custodian Duties & Responsibilities:
• Keeps building and property clean and orderly
• Performs heavy cleaning duties
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs & vacuums floors
• Gathers and empties trash
• Scrubs, sanitizes and refills supplies in restroom facilities
• Dusts furniture, walls and equipment
• Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture
• Notifies Supervisor regarding the need for repairs or additions to building
• Must be willing to help with snow removal when requested (may include mandatory overtime, will be compensated)
Qualifications/Skills:
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend for many hours. Ability to perform repetitive motions for long periods of time. Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers and cleaning solutions.
• Background in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals. Ability to paint rooms/hallways as needed.
• Must have a NYS Driver’s License, reliable transportation
• High School Graduate or GED – Reliable transportation is a MUST

Pay Range - PAY RANGE: $16.50 - $18.00/Hour
This is a 3 pm-11pm work shift. Overtime is permitted, needs pre-approval.
Summer Hours – July & August are 7 am – 3 pm
