Cosmetology Instructor in Sanborn, NY

Salary Range: $54,000-$92,000 commensurate with experience.

To instruct students in cosmetology.

• Responsible for the development and implementation of a Cosmetology course that meets the NYS licensing requirements and the NYS Learning Standards and Graduation Requirements.
• Develop curriculum and lesson plans, teach toward the curriculum, evaluate student progress, keep appropriate records.
• Provide and manage student Cosmetology clinical experiences consistent with licensing competencies and skills.
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationship(s) with area cosmetology professionals.
• Develop Culturally Responsive Practices with ALL hair types including strategies for integrating all types of hair care into the cosmetology curriculum and preparing students to meet industry standards while celebrating diverse clientele.
• Ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.
• Manage student progress and classroom conduct.
• Passion for the industry and helping students.

Requirements:
• Valid New York State Cosmetology License.
• NYS Teaching Certification, or eligibility to obtain-BOCES will provide support to obtain certification

Anticipated Salary: $54,000-$92,000 commensurate with experience.
