The pay range for this opportunity is $17.00 - $17.30 per hour.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the overall function of kitchen and dining room services while on shift.
• Creates an environment of respectful teamwork supervising and working alongside Dietary Aides to ensure that food preparation/sanitation practices and policies are followed in a safe environment, and Residents are prepared and served the diet prescribed by their physicians in a friendly, customer service-oriented manner
• Acts in a professional manner at all times and is a role model to other staff.
• Completes other duties assigned by the Dietary Director.

Required Skills & Abilities:
• Ability to communicate with residents and staff in English
• Ability to read and write English
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted and to bodily support up to 100 pounds with minimal assistance.
• Ability to visually observe residents, to hear emergency systems and verbal needs expressed by residents.
• Ability to turn, stoop, bend and stretch in order to assist residents.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to use equipment competently.
• Ability to respond to emergencies, i.e., resident choking, evacuation of residents and visitors in the event of fire.


Education & Experience:
• Must be at least 18 years of age, High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Two years’ experience in the food service industry preferred.
• Must have the required annual Tuberculosis (TB) testing and Annual Health Assessment.
• Must be aware of and apply the standards of sanitary food preparation.
• Must have the required references and criminal record check

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand/arm movements, tolerate heat, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ability to operate necessary equipment.
