Community Nutritionist in Buffalo, NY

Salary Range: 51,500

Are children your passion? Are you interested in having a positive impact on 3-5 year olds’ attitudes and behaviors regarding nutrition and physical activity? Join our non-profit agency, Child Care Council, Inc., as a Community Nutritionist. Using the NYS Dept. of Health curriculum “Eat Well Play Hard in Child Care Settings” this position supports 4 goals of the initiative which are to increase the consumption of vegetables and fruits, increase developmentally appropriate physical activity, increase the consumption of low-fat or fat-free milk and dairy, and decrease exposure to television and other recreational screen time. Implementation also includes assisting each center to create or improve their nutrition and physical activity practices and policies. The candidate for this position will be part of a team of Registered Dietitians in Western New York. Must be a Registered Dietitian, or eligible to sit for the RD exam within six months of hire.
