CNC Swiss Lathe Machinists in Tonawanda, New York

Salary Range: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour + Shift Differential

Manth Manufacturing is a precision machined parts manufacturer.
Manth is seeking skilled CNC Swiss- Lath Operators to join our growing 3rd shift team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in operating and maintaining machinery by using a sliding headstock to feed a rotating bar of material through a fixed guide bushing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operate and Maintain Swiss Lathe machines, providing high precision for long, thin parts.
• Work with shift lead and manufacturing engineers to ensure the bar feeder, loading the workpiece, programmed sequence of tool movements and headstock slides to machine the part.
• Perform periodic quality check on parts according to blueprint specs.
• Identify product defects and notify QC team.
• Conduct or communicate maintenance needs to ensure optimal machinery performance.
• Complete work in accordance with established safe operating procedures.
• Work with team and shift supervisor

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Swiss lathe machinery experience required.
• Knowledge of FANUC controls.
• Knowledge of 4th axis operation, a plus.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Knowledge of programming machinery for specific tasks.
• Able to use measuring equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, etc.
• Attention to detail and quality control practices.
• Commitment to safe manufacturing practices and procedures
