Responsible for collaborating effectively with Senior Leadership and Managers to define, articulate, and champion the technology drivers necessary for business objectives and strategic goals. Manages bank technology related to future technology trends, infrastructure enhancements and leads the development of the Information Technology department. The Chief Technology Officer is expected to be well versed in various technology solutions, financial software, and digital banking technologies.
-Provide leadership and guidance on infrastructure management, network and telephone communications, and service management that enables the bank to meet its business objectives. Facilitates an IT steering committee meeting on a regular cadence.
-Contribute to general business planning regarding technology and systems required to maintain/improve CCB’s operations, competitiveness, and meeting customer expectations.
-Proven ability to provide effective reporting, data analytics, and actionable processes for the bank’s data goals. Strong understanding of APIs and integration capabilities to drive the selection of leading technology solutions, marketing campaigns, and business goals.
-Act as primary liaison and key relationship manager and escalation point between hardware, software, and managed services vendors. Assess, recommend, and oversee all vendors and agreements for computing, telecommunications, IT services, CORE processing, and equipment.
-Maintain appropriate service levels and processes to ensure that department goals and milestones are met. Provide leadership and planning for IT Bank staff as well as 3rd party service providers to ensure effective Service Level Agreements and benchmarks are achieved.
-Identify products and services that will assist CCB with technology research, implementation, and management issues. Responsible for Information Technology budget and ensuring purchases and contracted services align with business objectives and CCB’s strategic vision.
-Monitor the bank's technology infrastructure performance and upgrades. Oversee implementations, repairs, and upgrades of all electronic and communications equipment. Maintain all asset tracking information regarding the bank’s technology platforms.
-Diagnose and recover from system failures/errors. Maintain and test IT disaster and pandemic plans. Ability to provide appropriate feedback and gap analysis regarding business continuity.
-Directly responsible for the coordination of Federal, State, and 3rd party regulatory examinations in the Information Technology area as well as maintaining an acceptable examination rating. Understand and continually review the FFIEC, NIST, GLBA, and CIS frameworks.
-Maintain the security of all bank equipment and data processing information. Ensure confidentiality and reliability of data and information. Work in tandem with Information Security Officer to ensure the Bank’s security posture is effectively maintained. Communicate to executive leadership any security deficiencies or necessary enhancements.
-Provide cyber security-related support, information and data to the Information Security Officer as required or requested.
-Perform any additional duties as required or requested.
-At least 3-5 years proven experience in Information Technology leadership, preferably in banking or financial services.
-At least 10 years of Information Technology experience.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field; a Master’s degree in information technology or a technology-related discipline is preferred.
Certification in Network Administration is preferred.

Level of Authority:
Salaried Exempt position; can be expected to oversee and manage several direct reports, including interns as the IT Department evolves.
