Assistant Controller in Amherst , NY

Salary Range: $78K-$81K depending on experience

Career Connection Network has an exciting opening for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Controller who can join our clients finance team.
This pivotal role involves overseeing the organization’s accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting financial management initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of accounting principles and some experience with the manufacturing industry.
This position with a local privately owned manufacturer offers a salary range of $78K-$81K (depending on experience) + health insurance + paid vacation/holidays + annual bonus incentives!

Responsibilities include:
• Working directly with the President and management team providing financial input on company issues.
• Managing accounting records for four affiliated companies.
• Handling Month and Year End closings with Financial Statement reporting.
• Managing accounting department including AP, AR, Order Processing and payroll functions.
• Handling State and Federal Government compliance reporting.
• Acting as liaison with outside firms: Legal, Accounting, Insurance and Banking.
• Developing and maintaining Budgets and Forecasts
• Product Pricing, managing monthly cash flow, hiring and training accounting staff.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years’ experience in the accounting field with most recent role in management;
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills;
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and business accounting processes.
