Material Handler II- Independently use proper equipment, move materials within plant along with unloading incoming materials from outside carriers.
Periodic use of forklift as directed.

JOB DUTIES:
• This position requires an employee to work their regularly scheduled shift; including overtime and weekends if scheduled.
• Must maintain forklift certification for position.
• Uses forklifts periodically to move materials around building. Maintains a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, vendors, co-workers, and Supervisors.
• Will not impose on self or others as a direct threat to health or safety.
• Works as a team player, helping to meet departmental and Company goals and objectives.
• Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
• Ability to operate a forklift and electric pallet jack properly and safely after provided training.
• Ability to work in all material handling area/functions, not limited to forklift operation only.
• Ability to use inventory/ERP systems for material transactions and inventory tracking.
• Ability to learn repetitive tasks quickly.
• Ability to read and comprehend Bill of Materials.
• Ability to be proactive in continuous improvement.
• Basic computer skills to operate Company software.

EDUCATION / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years of material handling/forklift experience in a manufacturing, warehouse or distribution environment required.
• Experience using ERP/inventory systems such as PLEX preferred.
• Previous experience supporting shipping/receiving, inventory control, material flow and product support preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Position requires individual to be capable of traveling & working throughout the entire facility, within reasonable accommodation. The noise level is usually moderate.
