Salary Range: 43,000+ annually, plus benefits

Job Function: Manages the church office and provides administrative support for the church staff, committees and members.

Relationships: Reports to the Pastor (direct supervisor) and indirectly to the Personnel Committee

Responsibilities:
• Coordinates the daily activities of the church; maintains a schedule of programs and building usage; acts as a primary interface with sales/service people and members.
• Receives and greets those who have business with the church; handles incoming phone calls; informs pastor of important information regarding the church and its members.
• Produces the weekly worship bulletin, weekly congregational email, monthly church newsletter, and the annual congregational report.
• Posts bulletins to website weekly
• Sends Sunday liturgist information weekly
• Prepares session packets and distributes them in a timely manner in advance of monthly meetings.
• Secures, directs and manages office volunteers
• Completes office and other duties as required by the pastor.
• Maintains and keeps current official church records, mailing lists, and directory.
• Handles incoming calls for the Food Pantry. Prints Food Pantry forms as needed.
• Manages check writing/financial reports.
• Manages accounts payable/receivables; completes journal entries (accounting adjustments).
• Distributes Merrill Lynch reports to church treasurer (monthly).
• Manages/records online giving
• Manages/records outside groups and manse rent payments
• Orders Sunday chancel flowers as requested and monitors payment and deliveries
• Places bulletins in sanctuary and changes hymn numbers in sanctuary for Sunday


Qualifications/Experience Requirements:
•Possesses computer skills in:
- Word processing
- Data entry
- Financial accounting
- Basic graphic design and publishing

• Preferably knowledgeable in:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.)
- QuickBooks and/or Church Windows
- Internet Explorer and Web based email
- Adobe Reader

Annual Review—conducted by pastor in coordination with Personnel Committee

Hours— Monday-Friday 9:00am - 4:30pm (35 hours/week with 30 mins unpaid lunch breaks)

Benefits—PTO (20 days); Minimum Salary of $43,000 plus benefits
