Assistant Director Of Engineering
SALARY RANGE: $30.96/HR - $34.87/HR
The work involves responsibility for the design, construction operation, maintenance and inspection of a variety of engineering projects.
An incumbent in this position has responsible charge of the planning and conducting of the technical activities of the engineering office.
General supervision is received from the Director of Engineering who defines the scope of the work to be performed.
The Assistant Director of Engineering uses independent judgment in planning work details and in making technical decisions on routine problems.
General supervision may be exercised over subordinate Engineering and clerical staff.

Minimum Qualifications:
a. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State Registered college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and two (2) years of experience in engineering work; OR

b. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State Registered college or university with an Associate’s Degree in Engineering and four (4) years of experience in engineering work; OR

c. Graduation from High School or possession of a High School Equivalency Diploma with courses in science and mathematics and six (6) years of experience in engineering work; OR

d. An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of a, b and c.
