General Repairperson II in Lockport, NY

Salary Range: $27.75 - $30.78

Niagara County residency is required.
40 hours/week; PTO, vacation, sick accruals; NYS retirement; health insurance

This is skilled maintenance work requiring a thorough knowledge of all building maintenance trades. General instructions are received regarding tasks that are to be performed permitting considerable leeway for planning technical details of each assignment. Under general supervision performs assigned journeyman type highly skilled trade work. Immediate supervision may be exercised over assigned workers in this field. Does related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma AND five (5) years of full time paid experience in either general building construction or large-scale facilities maintenance work in more than one of the standard trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC or masonry.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Possession of a valid New York State Motor Vehicle License at time of appointment and for duration of employment.

Candidates must obtain a universal certificate for Refrigeration in accordance with appropriate laws within one (1) year of appointment.
