Elementary Teacher in Friendship, NY

Salary Range: Per FTA Contract

Friendship Central School District has an opening for the following position for the 2026-2027 school year:

Certified Elementary Teacher

Must possess Valid NYS Certification Elementary Tenure

- Develop and implement the day-to-day educational program for children.
- Facilitate the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and reflective development of children.
- Plan and implement curriculum for children consistent with developmentally appropriate educational practices.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, families, community members and administrators to develop and implement projects.
- Use ongoing assessment to monitor children's growth, development, strengths, and needs. Be accountable for fostering students' academic progress.
- Develop long-term relationships with children and their families by serving as the primary mentor for each child in their group.
- Formally and informally interact with parents on a frequent and regular basis to provide information on their child's progress and to provide support as needed.
- Integrate parents' contribution to the curriculum as appropriate.
- Serve as a resource person to parents.
- Conduct periodic parent/teacher conferences so that adults can share information about children.
- Prepare written narrative reports for this purpose.
- Attend Open Houses.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings.
- Administer state-mandated assessments.
- Maintain records of child attendance, health and accidents, and report to administration as necessary.

Salary per the FTA contract
