Woodshop Builder in Buffalo, NY

Salary Range: Starting pay $17.50 per hour

The Woodshop Builder will report directly to the Woodshop Supervisor. This position requires you to build pallets and crates in accordance with the customer’s specifications while maintaining a high level of safety.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:
• Analyze shop drawings/blueprints to understand the specifications.
• Select raw materials required for assembly components.
• Ensure that inventory controls are maintained by keeping track of the amounts of materials and items used during each project.
• Ensure that raw materials are cut according to the job requirements.
• Utilize nail guns and/or screw guns to assemble cut materials.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by operating saws, nail guns, forklifts, etc, safely and by keeping the work area neat and orderly.
• Ensure that you are wearing the proper safety equipment.

Education
• High School diploma or equivalent required

Experience
• It is preferred that you have prior woodworking experience of 3-5 years.
• A minimum of one year’s experience operating a forklift.
