Maintenance Technician in Buffalo, NY

Salary Range: From $30.00 or higher based on experience

The selected candidate will assist in preserving the good operating condition of the company's production equipment. This is done through regular preventative maintenance and break/fix work, as necessary. Because of this, prior experience working with equipment in the box/packaging industry is preferred. Additionally, the selected candidate may perform facility maintenance tasks including painting, landscaping, and minor plumbing/electrical repairs, and ensure the proper functioning of mechanical systems on the premises. The Maintenance Technician may also make periodic visits to select customers to perform maintenance/repairs on previously sold equipment (stretch wrappers, paper packing, strapping machines, etc.).

Education:
• A High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.

Licenses / Certifications:
• A valid driver’s license is required
• Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a relevant field will be a plus.

Experience:
• A minimum of five years of industrial maintenance experience is required.
• Prior experience in the corrugated and/or packaging industry is preferred.

Skills/Abilities:
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment, preventative maintenance processes, and methods.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Lifting capacity of 25 to 50 pounds
