Salary Range: $16.50–$26.00/hr

Immediate Opening:
Painters: Perform duties to check and prepare units and apply a full range of coating materials to complete required painting process and repair, as part of the manufacturing of large, custom, special purpose vehicles, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.

Essential Functions:
-Work from specifications, shop orders and instructions.
-Review material and product requirements. May prepare any preparation operations as required such as masking and hanging parts onto holding devices. Obtain specified paint or other coating material and appropriate spray gun. Check operation and make preliminary adjustments or repairs to paint gun.
-Receive bodies, cabs, doors or other components for primer, intermediate or final application of coating materials, check substrates and general condition
-Activate paint according to supplier’s recommendation. Apply primers and multiple topcoats in prescribed sequence. Set baker temperature and timer and bake according to manufacturer recommendations
-Clean and maintain spray equipment after each use. Clean and maintain paint booth according to approved maintenance schedule. Visually check work and record production. Notify supervisor of unusual equipment or operating problems.

Other Duties May Include, But Are Not Limited To:
-Perform or assist with any operations, as required or directed, to maintain workflow or respond to production requirements.
-Tools and equipment used:
-A variety of paint guns, mixing machines, computer, scale, razor knives, mixing sticks, gun cleaner

Pay Range: $16.50–$26.00

Schedule: Mon–Thu, 6am–4:30pm
Optional weekend OT
