Salary Range: $30.00 - $45.00/hour

The maintenance technician performs highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical problems, install, and perform unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance, using our CMMS system, on equipment based on customer demand or need.
• Analysis of problems or situations pertaining to breakdowns of customer equipment and recommends actions necessary to correct situation.
• Performs necessary repairs to correct situations in a professional and productive manner.
• Performs scheduled maintenance on equipment according to company's scheduled maintenance CMMS system.
• Maintains parts and supplies inventory via Kanban and other duties as assigned.
• Report shift metrics to capture the performance and/or areas for improvement including breakdown, downtime, and parts availability) in end of shift pass down.
• Generate necessary requisitions for review and ordering by MRO buyer.
• Communications with Maintenance Supervisor on additional time requirements not captured in schedule.
• Seek out additional training opportunity for self-development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and production floor.
• Perform all repairs following the procedures for Lockout/Tagout.
• Properly inspect and maintain shop equipment in accordance with OSHA regulation.
• Identify, label, and stage parts for the equipment.
• Follow proper procedures around safety, chemical handling, and handling of hazardous waste.

• Knowledge of operating principles, purpose, proper application, and design limitations of mechanical and hydraulic power transmission components or elements such as shafts, bearings, gears, pulleys, belts, chains, seals, fasteners, couplings, brakes, Lamps, clutches, pumps, valves and similar devices.
• Knowledge of operating principles, purpose, proper application, and design limitation of tools, equipment, and devices used in the moving and installation of machinery such as hoists, cranes, lift trucks, dollies, rollers, jacks, welding and cutting equipment and a variety of hand tools.
• Advanced mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Manual machining skills, vertical mill, lathe.
• Grinding rubber rollers.
• Ability to make parts from blueprints.
• Installing/removing equipment.


Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree in Industrial Electronics Technology or a related field preferred.
• Technically trained person who can build, program, integrate, service, maintain, and operate programmable logic controllers required.
• Flexo Printing experience a plus.
• UV light maintenance experience a plus.
• AC/DC Drive programming and troubleshooting skills required.
• Knowledge in the areas of principles of electricity, including circuit breakers, switches, fuses, regulators, relays, instruments, and meters associated with electric generation. Single and three phase 120V-600VAC knowledge of 24VDC.
• Interpreting instrument and meter readings; wiring diagrams, drawings, and technical publications.
• Experience on the use and purpose of test equipment including, but not limited to, digital multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
• Experience with high-voltage 3-phase.
• Operation and repair of electrical power production systems.

Physical Requirement

• Ability to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
• Ability to lift, and/or move, up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and or move more than 100 pounds.

Salary range: $30.00 - 45.00/hour actual compensation will be based on experience.
