Vishay Thin Film is looking for a Yield Management Engineer at the Niagara Falls, NY facility.

Responsibilities:
Coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of procedures/processes to ensure manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new and existing products to run more efficiently.
Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs.
Acts as liaison with other departments in identifying process enhancements to improve overall manufacturing yield.
Develops systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company processes.
Identifies competences to integrate an effective cross-functional team.
Sets and tracks Process improvement goals (KPI) from planning, development and implementation of new and existing products/processes by using Problem solving techniques and support the subject matter experts to reduce process variation and improve process capabilities.
Coordinates cross-functional team to perform data analysis and continuously improve quality and yield.
Coordinates effective use of materials, equipment and staff in producing quality products at minimum cost.
Interface with other departments to coordinate engineering/quality challenges.

Qualification Requirements:
B.S. in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical) or Applied Sciences, M.S. preferred.
6-Sigma Green Belt (Black belt is a plus)
Lean manufacturing tools (i.e. VSM, SMED, 5S’s, Kanban, PDCA, etc)
Project management (certified is a plus)
Extensive knowledge of the Automotive core tools (APQP, PFC, PFMEA, PCP, SPC, MSA, Work instructions)
Proven problem-solving techniques (i.e. A3, FTA), OPEX experience is a plus
