Teacher Aide, Classroom in Tonawanda, NY

Salary Range: $15.36/hr Plus Generous Benefits Package

Erie 1 BOCES seeks two Classroom Aide for our Northtowns Academy. These positions are for 6th and 7th grade 6:1:1 classroom. Experience is preferred, but all interested persons are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have a positive outlook, strong work ethic and work well on Teams. General Duties:
- Assists with classroom activities as directed by the teacher.
- Works with individual children as directed by a teacher.
- Assists children with arrival and departure involving coats, boots, and lunches.
- Helps keep supplies and materials in order.
- Helps prepare materials for their use.
- Cleans up and puts away materials after use.
- Changes children's clothing and cleanses children, if necessary.
- Assists the teacher in implementing the classroom and/or individual student's behavior management program.

Hours: 7:30AM - 2:45PM

Job Qualifications
Minimum Civil Service Qualifications:
A) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; or;
B) Four (4) years of experience and knowledge in a particular field where specialized duties are involved, not necessarily in an aide role; or;
C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).
