Sr. Tax Accountant in Buffalo, Telecommute, NY

Salary Range: Salary $75,000 F/T Or $40/Hr. P/T

Senior Tax Accountant Salary $75,000 F/T Or $40/Hr. P/T

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Tax Return Preparation for high-net worth individuals with complex tax matters.
• Business entity tax return preparation for Corporations, Partnerships, & Trusts
• Preparation of other business tax returns: Sales, Withholding, & Rent Tax
• Financial Statements preparation, with strong knowledge of Balance Sheet adjustments
• Response to Tax Authority Notices via phone & in writing & phone
• Ensuring complete client satisfaction, through direct communication, accurate service delivery, and managing expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Expert knowledge in Federal Tax Law
• Research skills related to IRC Tax & Regulations
• Success in obtaining Penalty Abatements for client from the tax authorities.
• ProSeries Tax software experience (BIG PLUS)
• Quickbooks software hands-on proficiency
• Extremely Organized & Detail Oriented
• Ability to maintain pleasant & professional demeanor under all circumstances

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
• 5+ years’ experience preparing complex tax returns (Not an Entry Level Position)
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, plus EA certification preferred. (CPA a plus, not required)
• Extremely clear English language communication skills
