Salary Range: $55,000-$60,000/year

We’re seeking a certified Special Education Teacher to provide instruction and guidance to students with developmental disabilities in a supportive, well-resourced learning environment.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Salary: $55,000 with Bachelor’s Degree/ $60,000 with Master’s Degree or 5+ years of experience

Key Responsibilities
-Develop creative and engaging lesson plans aligned with Common Core
-Write and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
-Track and document student progress and IEP goal achievement
-Use differentiated instruction to meet varied developmental levels
-Support emotional and academic growth of each student
-Supervise classroom staff and ensure team collaboration
-Maintain a safe, organized, and respectful learning environment
-Communicate regularly with families, districts, and service professionals
-Implement Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP)
-Advocate for student needs and encourage independence
-Utilize technology and data systems to support instruction
-Attend CSE/CPSE meetings and team conferences as needed

Requirements
-NYS Certification in Special Education (required)
-Bachelor’s degree in Education required; Master’s preferred
-High-level written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
-Experience with behavior management strategies
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Comfortable with technology for planning and progress tracking
-Knowledge of instructional strategies for students with disabilities
