Special Education Consultant Teacher

Qualifications: Candidates must possess NYSED certification in Students with Disabilities 7-12

Key Responsibilities:
-Create and deliver lessons grounded in evidence based best practice and specially
designed instruction.
-Individualize learning experiences, as appropriate, creating flexible grouping for learning
experiences.
-Integrate IEP goals into lesson plans.
-Manage student behavior in the classroom.
-Meet course, grade-level, and district performance goals.
-Complete IEP progress reports.
-Participate in regular, ongoing professional training. Work with administrators to ensure district and state initiatives are being met.
-Create a positive educational climate for students to participate in, promoting success for students of all abilities.
