Shipping & Receiving Coordinator in Niagara Falls, NY

$26.00 - $29.00 / HR
8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Receives incoming shipments of raw materials, chemistry and other miscellaneous items
• Packages finished goods according to customer specifications and maintains priority of shipping requirements
• Processes all material receipts and shipments
• Issues periodic reports as requested by management
• Verify freight charges (COD, 3rd party billing, pre-pay / add)
• On-line processing of shipment pick-ups and labels/barcoding
• Issue/remove NCMAs as necessary
• Preparation and filing of all shipping/receiving documentation
• Process receipt of and delivery preparation of UPS / Fed Ex packages
• Assist in month end and year end physical inventory
• Assist with checking in material, packaging and other floor work when needed
• Processing of commercial invoices and miscellaneous declarations
• Schedules carriers for required pickups, interacts with outside shippers / truckers
• Follows all safety rules and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Minimum high school graduate or equivalent (GED)
• Minimum 2 years previous shipping & receiving experience
• Ability to read, write, understand and follow verbal and written instructions that include company policies and procedures
• Math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division needed
• Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail
• Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and on teams effectively
• Basic computer skills required for data entry purposes
• Ability to operate hoists and other motorized equipment to move material
• Ability to hear, see, occasionally bend, stoop and kneel, stand for 8 hours per day, and push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs. as needed to perform essential job functions
