Shipping and Receiving Supervisor in Eden, NY

Salary Range: $22-$32/hr. based on experience

It is the responsibility of the Post-Harvest Supervisor to learn Kreher’s pre-established shipping/receiving and palletizing procedures and guidelines:
• Check paperwork before unloading, counting all items to make sure they match the paperwork.
• Inspect all items for damage. Report all damage immediately.
• Make sure incoming product is put away in the correct place.
• Label all incoming product with appropriate lot number and enter into inventory management system.
• Before loading a truck, map out the load.
• Before loading a truck, make sure the reefer is set to the correct temperature.
• Double check invoices and load sheets to be sure correct items are being placed on the pallet.
• When building pallets, ensure proper rotation (first in, first out).
• Record lot numbers on the load sheets and enter into inventory management system.
• At the end of each day, conduct physical inventory and reconcile with inventory management system.
• Handle all products carefully. If any damage occurs, report all damages, and do not ship damaged product.
• Perform quality control inspections prior to loading products on trucks.
