Guards agency personnel and property against assault, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following/other duties may be assigned.)
Maintain order within facility; open the clinic; examines doors, windows and methods of entry to determine that they are secure and ensures alarm is set at the conclusion of that days activity; warns violators of rules infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts; activates alarm or contacts police or fire department by telephone in the event of fire, theft, the presence of unauthorized persons or unsafe behavior; permits authorized persons to enter agency; registers all entrants to agency; provides crisis intervention as necessary.
Assist in providing safety training to staff; submits reports as required; assists with preparation of identification badges for staff, clients and others as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with seven (7) years experience in security or law enforcement with at least four (4) years employment with the Community Action Organization of Erie County, Inc.
