Program: Youth Services Transitional Housing/Rapid Re-Housing Program
This is a live-in position, work 9am-5pm.
It is required to be in program midnight-8am. Midnight position you are not required to remain awake.
General Overview or Main Functions: Provides peer support and activities of social engagement for the Transitional Housing and Rapid Re-Housing components of the YHDP program, including assistance with referrals, admission assessments and Intake. Maintains safe environment for young adults and staff. Ensures the sleeping hour supervision (Midnight – 8am) of the Transitional Residence is covered each day of the week, in partnership with additional Peer Support Specialist. Assures required records and communications are completed and maintained. Follows written procedures of regulatory and certifying bodies (HAWNY, HUD, Medicaid, DSS, OSHA, Health Department, etc.) as well as upholding guidelines, procedures and policies of Community Missions, Inc. On-Call responsibilities.
High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree preferred. Lived experience with homelessness a must; Minimum 21 years of age; Red Cross Training; Infraction-clear NYS Driver’s License. Previous experience with transition age youth, homeless youth or adults; computer skills; Conflict Resolution skills; Ability to work within a team; Independent Living Skills. Ability to work with young adults age 18-24 years old.

Pay: $26,000.00 - $30,360.00 per year
