Sumitomo Rubber USA manufactures and sells a wide range of automotive tires in the US and internationally. Located in Tonawanda, NY (a suburb of Buffalo) our growing workforce produces over 4 Million tires annually for a variety of applications such as passenger cars, trucks, buses and motorcycles

• Prepares samples and conducts testing of compounds/tire components following established work procedures.
• Operates various analytical instrumentation and physical test equipment.
• Documents/reports sample test data.
• Validates equipment operation, performs calibrations/ maintenance on all equipment.
• Strives to improve laboratory test systems to improve the accuracy and precision of the data.
• Follows safety procedures and keeps work areas clean and orderly.
• Associate degree in Chemical/Mechanical Tech or related field lab experience.
• Computer skills, basic math aptitude, and multitasking required.
