Neighborhood Health Center (NHC) is GROWING and actively seeking an Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, providing clerical support for assigned area, organizing meetings and special events, and managing correspondence. For more than 30 years, NHC has delivered quality healthcare to the communities we serve.

Neighborhood Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). FQHCs are required to comply with the governor's recent mandate requiring hospital and nursing home workers to get the COVID-19 vaccine. You will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination if an offer of employment is made. The vaccine mandate applies to all personnel employed or affiliated with a covered entity, including volunteers and students. Only a limited medical exemption remains for qualifying individuals.

Responsibilities:
- Assists Administration in the day-to-day operations of the Neighborhood Health Center (NHC) to include but not limited to:
- Greets and makes administrative visitors feel welcome.
- Handles administrative phone calls and correspondence.
- Prepares, monitors and communicates use of the site conference rooms and coordinates appropriate room set up, and maintains the call-in extension conference room sheets.
- Maintains supply of guest refreshments such as coffee, cups and water.
- Ensures cleanliness of Admin Suite Kitchenette, Conference Rooms and Breakroom areas.
- Scans administrative office documents and transfers to correct computer file.
- Assists with recording, typing, filing and distribution of meetings minutes when needed.
- Assists the management team in completing projects or necessary tasks for NHC operations.
- Engages with NHC employees in order to determine ways administration can be supportive.
- Assists the Communications Coordinator in ordering rack, appointment and business cards, reproducing marketing material for outreach events, and mailings to elected officials.
- Provides cross coverage and works collaboratively with the Administrative team including Executive Assistant to the CEO.
- Emails providers and administrative team when using PTO at least 24 hours prior to communicate coverage plan

Requirements:
- BA college degree
- A minimum of 5-7 years of directly related work experience with increasing responsibility, providing outstanding administrative support, in roles of increasing scope and complexity
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Superb organizational skills
- Strong influencing skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work proactively and take initiative
- Results-oriented; creative and persistent in accomplishing tasks
