Maintenance Technician in Buffalo, NY

Salary Range: $21.86-$27.15/hr. (commensurate with experience).

The Buffalo Zoo is seeking a Maintenance Technician that possesses proficiency in one or more of the skilled service, maintenance or building trades. Desired Skills: Knowledge of building codes, structure repair, building system troubleshooting (electrical, plumbing, etc.), amusement ride maintenance, material fabrication, mechanical repair, carpentry, welding, masonry, painting skills. Successful completion of post-offer fitness for duty test and background check are required.

Position Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Associate’s degree, specialized training, and/or certifications from a technical college in construction-related fields are preferred.
Mechanical aptitude.
Compensation/Benefits: Full-time, CSEA union, non-exempt hourly position. Benefits: health plan, HSA/HRA,

Benefits available the month following successful passing of 60-day worked probation period review (sick time available upon hire).
Pay range dependent upon skills and experience: $21.86-$27.15 per hour.
